Nothing worked- it is already checked to always show icon in taskbar. Any other ideas?

-Right click on the desktop
-Select properties (last entry in the menu)
-Select Screen saver (3rd tab on top)
-Select "power management" (button at the bottom)
-Select "Advanced" (2nd tab on top)
-Select "always show Icon in taskbar" (chekbox in the option group)

Goto the Control Panel. Open Power Options. Goto Advanced. Check the "Always show icon on the taskbar." checkbox. Click Apply. Click OK.
If that does not work. Right Click your Taskbar. Goto Properties>Customize. Find the "battery icon" and click on its behaivor> then click Always Show.

Unplug the laptop from the AC Adapter...once you plug it in, the battery icon disappears.
