The whole Pope thing is just the latest issue, but it cuts across all sectors of society and the World at large. If you say a woman is Hot, it is offensive, if your company provides benefits to gays, you get boycotted, if you say drinking is fun, you get slammed, if you like the Yo Quiro Taco Bell Dog, Latinos will say you are racist. These are just words. When did society become so polarized and hypersensitive? My mom used to say "stick and stones will break your bones but names will never hurt you." Today, your child calls another child a name, the other parents bring it to the school board. What is happening to our society? Are we all just doomed to become a civilization of whiners and complainers? Never satisfied until no one is offended and living a boring life of grey monotony?

Your moniker incites emotional rage --- must you really be so lewd? FEAR is the driver for today's overreactions emotionally. . .

How dare you ask such an infantile and insignificant question you little monkey spanker! I oughta punch your freaking lights out for such inane comments!

JUST KIDDING!

I think it's the ever pervasive political correctness that has gotten us to this point. An absolute frenzied attempt to keep people from getting offended- a right that is not guaranteed in the constitution. The PC we see has crossed the seas and now people over there see the PC we see and are falling into lock step. I don't care if people are offended by my comments. I consider myself to be a Christian and ain't nobody gonna phase me with their rhetoric no matter how disgusting it may be.

Have a great day!!!

P.S.- my grandma taught me the 'sticks and stones' adage.

There is power in a word. Language has been called a two-edged sword by some. Language is the energy form through which we communicate as best we can our thoughts, feelings and intentions. To say that language has no power, no importance is to attempt to invalidate one of the most powerful tools of mankind. Perhaps some have gone to an extreme in their reaction, but this is a GOOD think in that eventually the healthy middle will be reached.

we are living in the last days of this system ruled by satan.if you have a bible read 2 timothy chapter 3 the whole chapter describes the very things that you mentioned. we all see these things happening and jesus said that was a sigh for us to take notice that our deliverance was near( luke 21:28)so you are seeing a prophecy being fulfilled! this is a blessing for those who take heed.

I 100% agree.. everyone needs to get over themselves and stop whining. It's all this politcal correctness crap... if u offend someone because of a remark (innocent though it may be) ur crucified for it.. .come on!! is it really that serious. People put too much weight on how other view them and/or think about them... who really gives a sh&t???
