On a slightly serious note-

Cows do have a gastrocnemius, which is what our calf muscle is called. However, it isn't where you might except- it extends the hock (joint on the rear leg that is analagous to our heel) and so it runs along the back of the upper hind leg. On the picture- it runs along the back/posterior side from the stifle to the hock.

Probably not what you were looking for... but maybe someone will think its interesting!
