That's interesting to hear that her character was actually a Blue Tang fish, since Dory (full name John Dory or Zeus Japonicus) is one of the main fish we eat down here in New Zealand! Not that I would want to eat such a cute thing as her, just saying...

Dory's scientific name is Paracanthurus Hepatus or better known in the aquarium trade as a Regal tang, Blue Tang, Hippo Tang, Palette Tang, Pacific Blue Tang, Yellow-Tail Tang (those are all of the common names.
