My list would include Morgan Freeman (finally got an Oscar), Burt Reynolds (anyone who can survive this long and continue to make fun of oneself) (yeah, I know), Courteney Cox (every one else got the really funny stuff but she was sooooo good at being annoying), Eva Longoria (CLEARLY the best Desperate Housewife), Denzel Washington (Oscar or not), a lot of the Disney stars (for real, except Raven...highly over rated), Bryan Adams (the man can still rock and does songs you can actually understand and sing along to).

Guy Pearce. He's an Aussie. I'd seen him in an independent movie on the Sundance channel called a "A Slipping Down Life" and he sang and played guitar in the movie and on the movies soundtrack. Awesome! For being an Aussie he did an amazing American southern accent. I love the song "You Alone" that plays over the credits and was able to download it from a certain p2p network. He doesn't get the credit he desreves probaly because he chooses interesting work, not movies that are gonna make big bucks for the studio.
I also think Anne Heche is underrated. Her talent as a good actress is being overshadowed by the crazy thing and her affair with Ellen DeGeneres. What I like about her though is when she is confronted about the affair with DeGeneres she has nothing but good to say about it and doesn't trash what she did.I loved her in the remake of "psycho". The Janet Leigh role was a hard act to follow but I think Anne Heche pulled it off just fine. When you can take a role that's recognizable like that and make it your own tha's good acting.

There are many, but are they really underrated, or just low profile. Many good actors/actresses, you hear nothing about. For instance Will Smith, Tom Hanks, Sean Connery, just to name a few that choose to stay out of the limelite and keep very personal and family oriented. Those that are always in the spotlight for wrong doings or for show, just tend to fade away when their short lived limelight burns out.

A lot of the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but mostly Eliza Dushku (Faith) and Nicholas Brendan(Xander). The show lasted 7 seasons and reached cult status, but you never see them win anything at awards shows or snag great roles in movies. Its a genious show with great actors like these two.

Old Bill Smithers and his banjo.
Came last in the talent competition in the village hall again this year.
Has come last every year for 14 years now.
Is that underrated enough?
