Good chance that it would, and many neocons, influential and poor redneck both would like to try.

I don't see how Blair could declare war, we have so few troops after all the cut backs and those we do have are involved in Iraq and Afghanistan. However, if he thinks it will serve what ever devious little plan he has, like leaving the mess for another to face, when he finally decides to go, he might just decide to do it! I also don't think the American people take too kindly to having their troops engaged in yet another messy combat.
What is coming out of Iran is more rhetoric than reality a bid to be seen as the leading state, It is not certain that Syria would necessarily come out in support. I do not believe the Iranian people want war, they have a hard enough life as it is, but we all know that dictatorships don't listen to the people. Sadly it is always the ordinary people who suffer. However, if the unthinkable does happen we could well have all out war in the Middle East.

The only country that will make a strike at Iran is Israel. That will only come about if Iran insists on continuing its policy of Uranium enrichment. It will be a surgical strike only designed to take the facility out.
While there might be protests around the Arab world against such action little more will come of it.
Syria would certainly not join in militarily as their forces are weak as are Iran's. This is why both give support to terrorist organisations.
Remember Israel does have nuclear weapons and if it thought its very existence was being threatened it wouldn't hesitate to use them. Syria and Iran are mindful of this.
The scenario I envisage is that Iran will continue with their rhetoric as long as there is political mileage in it and then accept the offers made by Germany and Russia to assist in creating nuclear energy plants. Given the generous deal they'll get they'll announce it as a victory.

I agree with one answer who said it will probably be the Israelis, but I do not agree with the analysis of the neighbouring countries.
Such a strike would, in my view, sweep away most of the corrupt regimes that are American puppets at the moment, in Egypt, Pakistan, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, unless they supported an all out war against Israel and the US. It would also finally put Israel on the list of terrorist states, where it belongs.
No, I'm afraid those who think that the US could get away unscathed, are too optimistic.

This would be the fuel to light up the middle east as well as other countries in that area such as Pakistan and India. The extremist Muslims would love this as they could justify their current actions. WW III would then be under way and the whole planet would probably be destroyed from nuclear weapons, especially the ones Iran has had for years.

The current world war which I like to call, "The Lukewarm War" will escalate into a fullscale world war due to the Shanghai Pact between Iran, Russia, China, N Korea and most of the "stan" countries. Our enemy is much larger than most want to believe.

It would be a very one sided war as Iran and Syria have no nuclear weapons.

As I said a little while before
If one of the nuke owners were to fire one, chances are 7 or 8 countries would start blasting away at each other.

What do you mean "will it" start WW III? THEY did that on 9/11. It is now only a matter of escalation. The jerk in Iran wants to bring about chaos, so his Mahdi can come out of his well.
