First thing you need to do is take a breath and relax. HPV stands for Human Papoloma Virus. The virus itself is not deadly, and it is really common. Most of the time it is treatable. In SOME cases, it can cause cervical cancer. But lets not get into that, you are not at that point. Talk to your gyn about treatment. Oh, and I don't think you'll have any problem having children.

First of all take a deep breath, you are fine. HPV is nothing to worry about. I have had it and my sister has it now. You will be able to have babies, my sister just had a baby who is 9 weeks old. I too have two children who are 10 yrs and 13 yrs old now. The worst thing that has happened to me is that I had cervical cancer when I was 19 yrs old and after I had my kids (age 26) I had a total hysterectomy (best thing I ever done) I hope this helps you!! Stay positive!!

You are among an ever-growing population with this condition - both men and women carry it. You are in no immediate danger of falling over dead any time soon.
The virus is the primary cause for cervical cancer, so as long as you get regular PAP smears and pelvic exams and follow up on anything unusual or irregular you're going to be fine.
You will indeed be able to conceive, as long as you aren't being treated for cervical/uterine cancer to the extent that you have to endure a hysterectomy (removal of your uterus).

You are going to be absolutely fine! Remember, the best thing to do is stay informed, get regular exams, do exactly as your doctor instructs should you come up with an irregular PAP result, and ask questions!

Don't worry, it isn't that bad. Human Papiloma Virus (Sorry about the spelling it's in spanich "Virus del Papiloma Humano") is mainly a long term disease that can, but not always, cause cancer if left untreated or unsupervised. You just have to keep your appointments with your gyno, and follow his instructions. You can have a normal sex life, but use protection for your partner. Also you can have kids as any normal woman.

Get it treated ASAP or it will could lead to cervical cancer if you are one of the ones who's virus will turn into cancer. 80% some point in their lives will come in contact with HPV, and most do not develop cancer because either they don't experience all the symptoms or because HPV is caught before it's turning point to cancer.

Hope that helps!

good thing they've detected it early. your'e not going to die unless you don't get your papsmear test done every 6months...they do this to make sure the virus doesn't spread into your body. if it is spread into your body, this can cause cervical cancer, which you can die. it's not as bad as you think it is. just go get it checked every 6 months or so. statistic say that 50% of women will get hpv in their lifetime.

I just recently went through this same experience myself. You are not going to die, you will be okay. I was told by one nurse that 90% of female's will contact this at some point in their lives. Stay on top of your pap smears and you will be okay.

you're not gonna die. don't worry. it can go away by itself or it can cause the cells on your cervix to become abnormal. once that happens the doctor will remove the abnormal cells and you will be healthy again. so keep going back for your follow ups because if you don't get those cells removed it could turn into cervical cancer.
