Fcuk that sh1t food, give real food, finely chopped turkey, chicken, pork and beef, freeze dried worms(get these in any pet shop), along with all sorts of vegetables, finely chopped peas, lettuce, spinach etc. All petshops recommend you feed these made up foods to your fish so you come back and buy more, dont fall into that trap, what do you think they eat in the wild, earthworms and other small waterliving creatures.

Try flakes until it gets big enough to eat the pellets, my goldfish used to do the same thing when they were little. And it wont live very long in a bowl like that. Get a little aquaruim at walmart for about $10-15 with a pump and everything. Much nicer to look at, and your fish will be much healthier and live longer.

i really hate it when people put goldfish in little bowls. There not meant to live in them. Petstores tell you they can, but what do they know. Anyone could apply for a job there, its not like there fish experts. They need big tanks with filters, lights, and bubblers. Its gonna die if you dont put it in a pond/tank soon. They are supposed to live 10-20 yrs but usually live 1-2 in bowls??! Here is a sight on goldfish care: http://www.petlibrary.com/goldfish/fishcare.htm

If a Goldie gets ahold of a larger than normal piece of food it will take it into it's mouth - spit it back out - and try to break it up. Very normal.

Might I suggest getting Wardley's Multi-Color Flakes instead?

Pellets are a perhaps too much for Goldies.

there is nothing wrong with it, the fish is just repulsive cos of the new environment, with time it will start eating, but u can try digging up some earthworms and try giving it to the fish, most gold fish can't turn down a meal of life earth worms

Fish do that all the time, they aren't throwing it up, they're just spitting it back out till they find the one they want. try switiching to flakes though, most goldfish like them.

I wouldn't worry too much though

switch to flakes or moisten the pellets a bit first. Your fish cannot grind up the pellets without any teeth.

Your fish isn't "throwing up" that is how it "chews" its food. Many fish suck food into their mouth and basically bite pieces off in the back of their throat and spit out what is too big to swallow. Then they repeat that procress til there is no food left or they are full.

try using tetra flakes instead of pellets. your fish might not be able to digest the pellets that could be why it's throwing up

One of two things.

Goldfish usually eat flakes. Sold at most stores.

Have you tested the water for Ich?
