Well there's been quite a few trains with toxic items who have derailed in bc over the summer. There are at the moment hundreds of forest fires in NW Ontario. There's a town in BC that had to put a ban on water due to drought.

The ice caps are melting and the polar bears are losing their habitat but I can't think of anything else that's happened today .
