Years ago when I lived at home. I was asleep and woke because I felt someone stroking my hair - as you would a child who was sick. I opened my eyes and there was a man crouched down looking at me, he looked really upset like he was keeping vigil for a sick person. It scared the life out of me though and I wanted to scream, instead I put my head under the covers and waited. When I looked again he had gone.

The next day I told my mum and sister about it and my sister went totally white, two days before she had slept in my room and seen the same thing.

I don't believe in ghosts but I do think that a persons energy can still be around, maybe what I saw was more like a recording of what happened. I don't know but I don't ever want to see anything like that again!!

I am the worlds biggest sceptic and i have seen a ghost. I only saw the head and the shoulders but it was a faint shape which was opaque and all i remember was that this little boy was wearing glasses..lil round glasses and that freaked me out! i was sitting up in bed, (just gone to bed), lights off, this figure is like at the side of my bed looking up at me..i frozen and it felt like ages but it was about 5 secs later it had gone..it was a cloudy white colour..lets just say this sceptic was so freaked out and i had to sleep with the lights on for about 4 days! Embarassing I know but something strange happened tht night.

The Grocery Store Haunting. in the year 1980

as reported by anonymous

While working for a large grocery chain between the years 1980 and 1981.I was promoted to manager of their Conwy grocery store and it was not long after being moved there that things started going missing at first i believed that the staff working for me were hiding items but I was soon to find out the real reason.

I had only been there for about two months when I discovered that the building was supposedly haunted, this came about after I remarked to a member of staff that no matter how much I blocked the back door with draft excluders it was always very cold in one spot near the door. I remember saying it was so cold as too make the hairs on the back of your neck stick up and thats when she told me about the old lady who had died in that very spot years before the building had been converted into a shop.

Now dont ask me why as I really dont know but I reckon that I must of have made a joke about the old lady because after that day things started to really get crazy.

When I would be alone in the building due to before opening, lunch time or after closing the atmosphere there would be electric and although she did not show herself to me at that time, she wanted to let me know she was there.

No matter what I was doing or where in the building I was doing it everyday at least once I would hear a cracking type of sound and then as I looked around to see what it was I would be chilled to the bone momentarily as if she had just walked through me.

Also a large knife I used for cutting the ropes off of the cages would frequently fly across the room and embed itself into a door or crate in the storeroom.

When down in the cellar boneing bacon or cutting blocks of cheese I would have to be quickly in and out of the walk in cold room or else she would shut me in it, which believe me is not much fun.

Then one day when I was in the storeroom alone she materialized right next to me and she looked like a white mist vaguely in the shape of a old lady.

She touched me first on my hand then up on to my arm and both places she touched me became as cold as ice. At this point petrified I ran out of the storeroom and into the shop and stood by the front door until the staff came back from their lunch breaks. Then while acompanied I went into my office and phoned the area manager and resigned.

Haven't seen a ghost, but have experienced the actions of a poltergeist.
We moved to a house and strange things started to happen. It always happened at the same time during the night.
After experiencing the happenings for approx 9mths we had a fire in the house, you can guess what time, anyway after the fire the happenings stopped.

I believe there is a rational experience for everything, based only on available information.

My grandmother had a "near death experience" during the war and became a medium...

... I've had a number of spooky experiences, and conducted successful seances on my own... but I feel it has more to do with auto-suggestion than any spiritual realm..

... if one believes that ghosts exist, then spooky experiences will be attributed to such phenomena... it's the same idea as claiming "God told me to kill them" or "the voices made me do it"...

Not sure. But on the night my grandad died I woke up in the early hours and saw him right in front of me. Right in my face. It was so real but just after waking up I was unsure whether it was real or if i was still half a sleep. I do believe in ghosts and would like to see one for definite!!!!!

I've not definitely seen one although I'm not sure, but once when I was working in a care home the handle on a bedroom door was going up and down, so I thought someone was trapped and went to let them out but there was nobody in there...spooky!!

i've not actually seen a ghost but the light has turned it's self on on its own in my house, and if i sit in a particular chair to watch telly i some times see a shadow out the corner of my eye at the top of the stairs, if i look directly there is nothing!!!!!!!!!!
