you are correct my dear friend. This is bloody Greg Chapple and Rahul Dravid who are stopping him to get into the team. Saurav had helped a lot Rahul to be retained in the team though as a weaketkeeper but Rahul never came forward for Saurav. I want the worst adue for Chapple as a coach and Rahul as a captain.

I dont think that Ganguly's career should deemed as over but it would need a miracle to bring that man back into contention for the place in th XI. I was a Ganguly Baiter/Hater to my very heart but the way he was unceremoniously thrown out by BCCI despite him not being given adequate chance to prove (or disprove) his mettle is the best way we can thank the greatest captain of our team. He had kindled some sort of a fire in the Indian team & matches then were worth waiting but with the advent of Dravid it seems that we are back into the adys of meek leadershp again.
Ganguly's performance at the Ranji may not have been great but did someone like Azhar ever, ever play well even in domestic circuits during the last 5 years of his career. But he had the well wishes of the BCCI until he was banned. Ganguly too has lost the favour of the dinosaur of BCCI, Jagmohan Dalmiya & Pawar is in no mood to bring him back into the team.
SO a miracle is needed to bring Ganguly back into the days of reckoning but not for his dismal performance, but the miracle is needed to please Pawar & Dalmiya. So GOD help DADA

Yeah you are right .....Politics is keeping him out...and why only him, even Zaheer Khan is a victim of dirty politics....otherwise after his performance in county cricket, he should have been a part of indian cricket team.

I think till kiran More and Greg Chappell have their say in the selection matters, chances of Sourav making it back into the cricket team is nil...

NO chance.

Why do you want Ganguly in the team, what is his use. Ganguly WAS one of the best one-day player, but now he doesn't deserve a place in international cricket.

And its not politics, its just cricketing logic which is keeping Ganguly out. He should retire gracefully.

I know you won't agree with me. And even in year 2010 you will say why is Ganguly no in the team. Why don't you ask, what is keeping Anil Kumble out of the team or for that matter even Laxman.

Check Ganguly statistics in County cricket this year, bowled again by Zaheer. AND think logically, do we really need Ganguly.

I have great respect for Ganguly, he WAS the best, and his captainacy was one the highlights of Indian Cricket history. But we need to move on.

First throw the three devil's-Chappal(slipper) More(e) and Sharad (poor) out of Indian cricket than only you can see Saurav Ganguly back in team.

I dont think so. Because even if he performs well in local matches the current players in TEAM INDIA perform better than him in International matches to keep up their positions in the Team. So it is very difficult for him to retain his position in the team. Moreover there are many youngsters who are waiting to be placed in TEAM INDIA. As the coach Creg Chapell is an testing mode to make the team for WORLD CUP 2007 he just needs youngsters who are willing to make an impression in the international level for TEAM INDIA.

I think No. Because he is not playing well & he cant make it to the team except by proving the good form.
