Every job is important. We need the low paying jobs just as much as the high paying jobs. However there is one job that I don't understand. Garbologist? These people, and I don't want to offend anyone if they are a garbologist, study trash to learn more about humans. I think it's just pointless. I don't get it.

Counting fish. I saw it on the discovery channel. These people count how many of each species pass by this underwater window to see what the population is like at different times of the year to determine migration patterns in the different fish.

Also, haute couture fashion designers. Fashion is a self-perpetuating industry and no one outside of it gives a hoot's blast.
