You need an old towel and an iron. Let the iron get warm and place the towel over the wax. Run the warm iron over the towel and it will soak up the wax as it melts. Good Luck !!!!!

Oh my.....pick off as much of it as humanly possible. Then if you have access to an iron or a hair dryer, get a paper towel and heat up the wax and careful not to dab the wax further into the carpet, pull the melted wax off. It might help to know if the carpet is burber or plush?? If it's burber (short) just lay the paper towel over it and iron right over the paper towel. If it's longer carpet, using a hair dryer and try laying the carpet over the paper towel, then heating it up would help. But a red candle? What color is the carpet? If all else, buy a rug or rearrange your furniture to cover the spot.....yikes....

Try carefully getting off what you can with an object of any kind without hurting the carpet.. THEN... using a soft absorbant cloth, put that on the spot and heat an iron and put it on top of the cloth... the intentions are that the wax will melt and the cloth will absorb it.

Apply ice cubes and chip off excess wax...get as much off as possible. then, take paper towels and set an iron to low heat, press the area and the small amount of melted wax will go into the paper towels. Good luck

My mom uses this method;

Use a paper bag and an iron. Lay the paper bag over the wax and iron it for about 3-5 minutes then peel up the bag. Then, just pitch the bag!

Listen to the people about the iron. I used a peice of paper instead of a cloth and it worked just as well. I spilled a LARGE amount on a brand new rug once.....Sucked. This iron thing does work.
good luck!

I think there's a chemical that will dissolve wax in carpet--yeah, here it is: a product from Wal-Mart called DeSolve-It. It's a spray. that's all I know.
