Why do grown women act like children when working in an office?
I work for a big company and I work with two women who act like kids... I just happen to go out for a smoke and the boss followed me. Now their not talking to me. In fact one girl went to get pizzia and left me out just to get back at me... I think its stupid. One girl is so noisy she gets into everybodys else business.. I dont get it...Why do grown women act like this.. should I quit. I ve been their 5 yrs. I dont want to sink down to their levels .. both women are younger then me.. at least 10yrs.. does that make a difference?also this one girl is so loud and so street mouthed that just listening to her makes me sick... I need advise....

It a maturity thing cause mostly young girls, or girls with low self-esteem act that way at work. I worked at an office for 7 years with 1 younger girl who was 18 and the rest were either married or in serious relationships ranging from age 28 and up and yeah, when the boss was on vacation it turned into rompa room but that's any office when the boss is out of town. Other than that, everyone respected everyone's business and never stepped on anyone's toes. You need to work around people as mature as you are. Then again most girls that make that many problems in the work place don't last that long anyway.

Hmmm I am 29 and work in an office. I've seen this before but usually for some odd reason it's with the older women (late 30's and 40's). They just act like catty bitches for no apparent reason like they never left the 6th grade or something. It's annoying to deal with, I'm very lucky to have a good office job now, but I've been there. I did end up quitting and got lucky but this for some reason is a common problem and believe it or not it's a hard one to avoid. I don't know what it is with people but sometimes I think adults can be more immature than teenagers. Beats me, I'd look around for another job just realize you may get stuck in the same situation again. If you go on an interview see if you can meet some of the people before you begin the new position. Good luck - people suck don't they

I use to be in the same situation.
There was this one girl that would reak havoc in my department.
It is jealousy. They know that you are liked from everyone and they can't stand it. They are not happy in their own lives so they want to try to make everyone elses miserable.
Like the old Chinese Proverb "Sit patiently by the creek side and you will see your enemy float on by"
That is what I did and she got fired.

i seriously wouldn't worry about them..when they see they get no attention for stupidity they will calm down..just ignore them...don't acknowledge there antics...they simple are"so very special" you don't need them...i work with people that treat me just mean..they are jealous...i moved up in position so it brought on even more hate,these are peoplethat ,invite me to parties and everything,but if that's what they want to do...CLOWN..???go ahead ,there the stupid ones...
