Any card you buy now usually has DirectX 9 capabilities, so it will work with DX6 apps too. I suggest buying one from TigerDirect...they have a good selection and great prices.

Buying a faster graphics card is the best way to upgrade it.... Judging by the DirectX version you are using a pentium III or less... Anyway what is the purpose for an upgrade gaming, just need to be more faster?

are you changing the card or just upgrading the directx on it, to upgrade the directx just do it, it shouldnt bother the card
