I lived with compound migraine headaches 24 hours a day for over 6 years. There is very little in the realm of physical pain that bothers me anymore.... and knowing that signing the confession is a death sentence.....it all comes down to whether I would want to live or not.

But over 99% of the population wants to live, and doesn't handle pain well, so just about everyone in that situation would sign it.

The irony is that the CIA learned long ago that torture is a great way of producing garbage information. Captured terrorists EXPECT to be tortured. If you're nice to them instead, they spill all kinds of stuff that you can crucify them with later.

Unfortunately the republo-fascists have this built-in torture fetish that they inherited from the religion they're trying to put in power. So they keep pushing the boundaries and insisting on ineffective, wasteful methods.

Truth be told, the Conservatives have many more ways to punish the innocent. Go to Answers.com and search sensory deprivation. Just the idea makes me cringe!

I'd tell the interrogators when and where the next bomb would go off.

But, then again, I wouldn't be caught on the battlefield fighting against the U.S., either.
