If you've ever done front brakes on a car then you can do it yourself. Since it is a Lexus I suggest Ceramic front pads. They are more expensive but they last a whole lot longer than regular pads, and there is no squeaking like with semi metallic pads. Added bonus. hardly any brake dust on your wheels, And they don't heat up rotors like regular ones do,keeps from warping the rotors. Regular pads range from 29.00 up Ceramics are from 50.00 up for a Lexus Maybe more than that.

I suggest you buy a manual at the auto parts store for about $20, It will tell you what tools to buy, buy them. The pads don't cost much.
Follow the directions. If you don't wait too long and there is still some material left on the pads, you don't need to worry about the rotors. Shops have to do a better job than necessary because of liability and lawyers.

Changing brake pads is pretty easy and compared to paying someone to do it, its a huge difference. But if you can afford a freaking Lexus, then you should be able to afford someone to do the maintenance on it.

Any tire shop worth its salt should be able to do it for you. Why don't you try calling around and getting ballpark estimates over the phone??
