First, I would advise you to try to get couples counseling. If he won't go or doesnt seem to think there is a problem, then he obviously doesnt care about your feelings and things are not going to change. In this case you have to make the decision to stay with him or to get a divorce. If you love him enough to stay with him even though he's an ***, then do that, if not, go talk to your lawyer. Good luck.

If you stop talking, he could "not listen" to your silence. Go ahead and blame the whole thing on your husband. If you are just venting ont this site...fine. Otherwise go to some counselling. Maybe you don't know how to communicate with him effectively just as much as he doesn't listen.

talk very low, explain to him that you are going to tie his *** down to a chair with a torch at the end of it.
if he should move, it will enflame his ***.
talk until you have said everything you could possibly say. whenever you are done, quiz him on the things you have said. if he ask why is this happening? tell him that is all you have been talking about for the past month, he just wasn't listening to be prepared for it.

I let him know that I don't appreciate the way he is acting
My husband can sometimes be self centered but he can also be the sweetest man in the world.
When he treats me like crap I will go do my own thing and wait for him to come around
I don't sit there and waller in self pity
Therefore he realizes he can't treat me that way
usually takes about 5 minutes

sometimes I yell at him and tell him not going to let him treat me that way... I leave and go shopping and spend money on myself.
other times, when he is being an ****** and leaving with a friend to go do something, I'll tell that friend he can keep him and he better not come home untill he is in a better mood.
other times I go about my business and ignore him untill he decides to be nice again.
for larger problems I give him ultimatitums and follow through. he knows my threats are real.

You actually have to come here to ask advice on this subject? your life is doomed then. Get used to living with him because you do not appear to be a self starting person. You'll obviously strave on your own so better learn to live with him then.
Sorry. I'm glad I don't fall into the same catagory. Good luck though, you'll need it.

Don't listen to him! File for divorce and move on! Then again you could make yourself heard by using a megaphone right in his ear, nah...shuve it up his ***.
