I know what your talking about. Don't the designers know that people with short waste line exist? I am female and have found that boy's or men's Levi's fit better than some of the jeans made for women or girls. Some of the jeans made for women the darn waste goes up to the hmmmm just under the bra area and they look and feel horrible! Maybe we should start a petition? And send it to Gap,Levi's and Wrangler and who ever else make jeans. I have found Jordache and Bongo make good fitting jeans for women in the petite sizes but they are pretty spendy!

Men's Wear-house - you may have to have them altered, but they do that right there - and you get the right fit. Or take up sewing - my father altered all his clothes because of his weight fluctuation.

Yeah low rise would be your best bet. It wont be regular size waistline to cover your whole midsection.
