Interesting. Now in asking your question, you probably wouldn't say that you are seeking to be understood, but you are. Otherwise no one could answer your question.
I don't seek to be understood as much as I seek to understand. The only I can understand someone else is to explain to them the best frame of reference by which I can learn from them, i.e. help them understand me.
If someone does not understand their audience, they cannot teach. If someone is not understood, they cannot be taught.
Right?
