If I was a DOCTOR I'd be using the stethoscope, because the medical assistants and/or nurses usually take the vitals before the patient sees the doctor :)

The stethoscope. I never get tired of the reaction when I slap the icy little devil between some babes gazongas.

stethoscope to listen to lungs and chest. it would matter what the problem was also. if there was a high fever, then a thermometer in mouth and listen to chest too. good luck.

Neither. I'd look them over with my eyes first.
Or maybe that's the nurse's job.... Hmm. And, ah, while we're on the topic, the thermometer thingy? That's the nurse's job too.

Stethoscope, right after I wash my hands. I don't trust doctors that don't wash their hands between patients.
