How come the radio show Air America can't make it in America?

The left leaning show has had one problem after another
getting any kind of respectable rating numbers
Unlike Conservative talk radio which dominates most markets
What is it about Left Wing Radio that turns people off ?

Have you ever listened to Air America? For the most part, it is not very good radio. If they expect to ever pull any respectable numbers, they will need to hire some hosts with at least a shred of credibility. They have people like Al Franken.... Sure, he is a half decent comedian, but is he really a radio personality? The closest he has gotten to radio is writing a book about another radio host being a big fat idiot. The rest of the air staff, outside of Randy Rhodes, are just a big group of political talk host "wanna-be's"

Air America as a concept, was poorly planned, and rushed to the airwaves before it ever should have been. From the get-go, they had nothing but problems with clearance on a number of major market stations. If you ever saw the documentary on HBO dealing with Air America, you can understand exactly why it did, and continues not to work.
As a concept, Air America should be able to pull good numbers in some of the country's largest markets... All they need to achieve this is new management, new programmers, and new talent.

Shows what you know; Air America is a radio network, not a show. But I can understand why you'd be afraid to do research.
