when we say paragon we refer to the word "perfect"... in what way are animals the most perfect beings?

Animals per se aren't the most perfect beings. Man is considered the paragon of animals. This is because of man's "sixth sense" - the ability to think.

Animals aren't cruel, they don't prey on their own kind, they are not malicious, and they don't start wars. Having said this, I do not care much for hyenas.
