I don't have him for any other class anymore and whenever I gave him money for his tutoring, he took it and now he wants to give it back!
He said that he tossed and turned about it, but it was not like we had sex! Then he said you have extra money for yourself, go and get a spa treatment or buy something nice for yourself. (Hint: its not like I don't have those things already)
Why could not he have kept it in the first place? I really wanted him to have it because he helped me a great deal!

Oh, that's sweet! Sounds like someone has as crush on you! Well, you paid him for a service. And he is an adult, I'm assuming, and if he wants to give it back to you on his own free will, it's yours! I guess if your still uncertain, ask him why he feels he needs to return the money to you. He's obviously thought about it, (tossing & turning) so see what he says. Now I'm curious why........

Sounds to me like the guy is trying to say that the pleasure of your company while he was tutoring you made him feel guilty about taking money for it. Or perhaps he knows you are on a limited budget, and is merely being kind. In any case, he's being a gentleman, and a lady accepts such a gift and thanks him kindly.

If, on the other hand, he has less money than you do, and he's trying to give you back his fee, tell him you are flattered by his thoughtfulness but you must insist he keep it. This is his profession and he does it well, and deserves to be paid.

Your kindness in refusing the refund will be enough to convince him you are a great lady.

I would accept the money and ask him why he's willing to not accept money for providing you a valuable service. I guess he must just have a good heart. I had a tutor once who didn't wish to be paid (lucky me) so his government funding wouldn't be screwed up.
