Try KBS Aquaklean. If it can clean a greasy car engine, it can clean your stove. Mix a hot solution, made need to soak and scour a little.

409, is great! Any type of degreaser works well too. I have found 409 to work wonders on build up, even when it has been there for a long time. If you just spray it and let it sit for like 2-5 minutes and then if needed scrub away otherwise it should just wipe off.

I use Greased Lightning. It is really good stuff. Just spray it on, let it soak for a minute or two, and wipe it off. Then wipe to rinse. Sometimes you have to use a Brillo, but only on the bad stuff. I buy it at Lowe's by the gallon.

a good degreaser and a razor/scraper, the kind you use to clean windows. Ammonia is pretty good to remove baked on food.

If all else fails, use dishwasher soap and Hot water. Let it soak and then scrub a bit. . .it should come off.
