That the words, and opinions are controversies waiting to happen. It's like asking, "So what do you think of Hitler?" Everyone will have a different standpoint and opinion that will conflict with others. Not saying one doesn't have the right to ask for an opinion when curiosity strikes, but personally, I steer clear.

I am PRO LIFE.
I am a former "choicer", ignorance and the whole feminism thing fueled those beliefs.
NOW that I know the TRUTH about WHAT abortion is I am fully against it.
Abortion is not a random act of convenience, it is an act of violence that destroys a REAL baby.
The question of rape/incest....ONLY .002% OFALL ABORTIONS ARE THE RESULT OF RAPE/INCEST.....so not even UP FOR debate, it is a non-factor. Besides, abortion was ALWAYS available, legally, for women in that situation BEFORE Roe VS Wade, which legalized abortion nationally.
BESIDES that, does the baby magically become a bendy straw or a napkin or something else disposable BECAUSE of the manner of conception? Is it any less real because it was concieved in crime? AND does the child become accountable for the crime of its father and therefore deserves a death sentence?
IT is a BABY, not some thing that means nothing.
Check any fetal development chart and what do you see at 5 weeks gestation? A BABY!
Abortion destroys life, the child is ripped apart limb from limb and thrown into a dumpster into an alley where rats and stray dogs feed from it.
This is "choice" in America.

Personally I'm against abortion due to my religious beliefs although I would consider one if I were raped or if there were going to be serious consequences to my health if the pregnancy continued but NOT in the case of my child having a birth defect.
The thing is...you cannot and should not be able to force someone to do or not do anything. It's a personal choice. Every single choice we make in our lives we and we alone bear the burden and the consequences for. It's about responsibility and integrity which is how over the years you come to know who you are as a person.

I am against abortion because it is murder, any way you look at it. I understand the arguments but don't buy them for a lot of reasons. Unfortunately, changing laws around the world won't stop abortion. There would still be illegal abortion "shops" where the procedure would still be performed (the pro choice folks say that butchers would run them--that's not 100% true and they know it although there would be those that take advantage of the situation and women would lose their lives). The ones who scream choice- choice are hypocrites because everyone has a choice with or without the law. . . the choice NOT to have sex. You CANNOT create a baby without a sexual act (artificial insemination is a sexual act because masturbation had to take place first). As far as rape and incest or birth defects. . . adoption is a viable alternative for the great majority of these children as there are thousands and thousands of parents that want to adopt children.
The bottom line is there will never be agreement on this issue because people are egocentric and their answer is always right in their own eyes (and that includes me).

A clear headed, rational understanding of the necessity for legal abortion in the US and around the world is only possible when strips away the rabid rhetoric of religious zealotry, mindless morality, and dim-witted sentiment. Abortions should be available on demand NO MATTER WHAT. The costs to society and to the environment of accidental pregnancy are too great to be ignored, much less accepted.

No. No more than it should be illegal to have surgery to remove a wart or a cancer, or a bad tooth. Why should some uninvolved party have control over someone's body? Legislating against abortion is the same as requiring people to reproduce against their will. Excuse me, but that is equivalent to owning a farm animal or a dog that you breed solely to produce a product, except it's an UNWANTED product. It is a sin to have so many babies waiting for adoption, when no one wants them. God gave us our intellects so we could solve problems like overpopulation, unwanted pregnancies, disease, famine, and the like. If you want to stop abortions, work for universal sex education and health care. People don't get pregnant on purpose so they can have an abortion, they get abortions because they don't have any better choice.

when your period is 1 week late, your baby is 3 weeks old - it is a boy or girl and it's heart is beating. I am against abortion.
Think of this, in cases of rape and incest, the baby is proof of the crime - it's DNA can tell who the dad is. also with rape or incest abortion encourages the criminal to continue or increase his crimes - no responsibility for him attached to abortion - and in case of incest abortion is a method of keeping the crime silent.
Also this person has already been violated by strangers, why would she want a doctor to violate her with abortion.
That baby has 1/2 mom's chromosomes - it is her baby too & just because it was conceived in a bad situation does that mean it deserves to die?? If she does not want the baby - she can give it up for adoption - but terminating pregnancy in rape or incest increases mom's trauama many times overe.

Abortion is about a woman's right to make decisions about her own body.
I don't know what an "unborn babby" is, but I do know that a fetus is simply a cluster of cells for several weeks.
Keep It Legal!
Also, why did you ask the question since you seem to be quite clear on your answer?
Further, learn to use spell-check. People may take your opinions more seriously if you spelled them correctly.

A baby has a beating heart at 7 weeks. If you have an abortion before then its not like you are killing anything. Either way I believe in a woman's right to choose, however I feel as though if you are mature enough to have sex then you are mature enough to raise a baby. I don't care if you have no money, or want to go to school, you have that baby. I do think that a woman has the right to choose if she is raped. I know I would have an abortion if I were raped

Good question. I think that life begins at the moment of conception, and I would challenge anyone to prove me wrong. If this is true, then abortion is the taking of an innocent human life. In my country, the US, this has been perfectly legal for the past 23 years. Over 45 million lives have been snuffed out by the abortions since Roe v Wade became law. There has got to be a better way.
