why did you change the setting? takeout the ram clean and fix it back...that is how I solved the problem.

That's because it's looking for a type of ram that is not in there. You have to reset the BIOS. This is how you do it. Open your case and pull out the button battery (your system should be off) Power it on without the battery in. Power off the system and put the batery back in. If that doesn't do it there is a jumper on your motherboard (there may be many check yoru manufacturer of your MB for more detais of what jumpers to do this to) The jumper looks like a little piece of plastic over 2 pins (there will be 3 pins next to each other) Normally its on pin 1 and 2. Set it to pin 2 and 3 for 10 seconds. Then switch it back. That should also rest your bios

Yeah, what that one said about Battery, its a Checksum error, your Mobo Maker has the codes for that, but you bonked the BIOS out so it needs to be reset. Power Off, Touch a part of the Frame Case, remove battery, wait 10secs, replace battery, replace cover, boot up, prolly best with a boot utility such as an Install Disk or a Boot Disk,,,,,,,,Carefull of Static Discharges.

You will need to go back into the BIOS and return the setting to BYSPD. The beep is the computers way of telling you it can not read the meory because the setting is wrong.

usually the long beeps are related to the RAM memory. Make sure is well inserted. Pull it off and insert it back on. Try doing this several times on different sockets (any motherboard usually have more than 2 memory sockets)
