i need help..with puttin together the followin line's..statments..
the statments. the beowulf poet.is successful in utilizing the diffrent stages of the plot to creat a suspensful narrative.
main ideas
1.successful introduction of major charactors.(grendal.is a powerful monster)
2.the peot is establishin gredal as evil.
i would appresiate any help ov any kind.. help with beowulf..or any advice.. thnks

If this is a formal assignment for turn-in, be sure to properly indent, and flesh out your points and subpoints. :)
I. The author of Beowulf is successful at utilizing different plot stages to create a suspenseful narrative.
A. Introduction of major characters
1. Grendal as evil
a. details re: Grendal as evil in this section, b., c., etc.
2. Beowulf as good
a. same as above
(filling in some blanks - it's been almost a decade since I've read Beowulf, so I'm hazy.)
B. Rising Action
1. Beowulf's hunt
2. B.'s fight with Grendal's mother (I can't remember for certain if it's rising action or what, so it may need to be moved)
C. Climax
1. Description of the action
2. Description of B & Grendal during the fight. - do they take on epic proportions at the climax (how good is Beowulf, how evil is Grendal?)
Although if you're comfortable with the text, you might explore the Christian elements of the poem. The thesis you seem to have currently is *VERY* broad and in my opinion, a difficult one to discuss, since suspense is a rather subjective concept. :)

My advice -- go to your local book store and get the Cliff's notes or Monarch's notes on Beowulf.
The Monarch's notes are better. They outline the book for you and help you with all of the main characters and stuff.
You'll still need to write an essay, but that might help you get started.
