senior fullback ryan powdrell.
powdrell came from mission viejo high school and saddleback jr college before making his way to USC.
powdrell got the starting call after senior fullback brandon hancock suffered a season-ending knee injury.
since powdrell injured himself in the second game of the season, he may be able to apply for a medical redshirt and come back next season.
