You are right about that. It seems to be some kind of claim from India that Buddha was born in their country. Majority of the people in the world belive that Buddha was born in a place called Lumbini, which is now a part of Nepal, but I do not know which country occupied that land back in when Buddha was born.

I believe, all Lords have the same nationality.
You can call that nationality whatever you please,
I like to call it "Life"

"God" or "Jesus" or "Mohammed" or "E=Meter" or any other kind of religion is very subjective. There is no point in trying to convince any one else of a religious thought. Religion is by nature not interested in facts, it is interested in faith. Therefore, the entire concept of discussing religion is moot. That is why there is no answer to your question. ;-)

Psst! Buddha is dead. But I believe that, all those years ago, Nepal was basically part of India, so the answer would be that he was Indian.
