Most of the suggestions above are good, go to a make up counter and learn from the girls or have a freind show you on their face and you can mimic.
1. Apply moiturizer and the foundation on your face (true color by loreal is good and you can find a perfect match).
2.Eyeshadow, first apply a light highlight (shimmery) on your browbone then apply a neutral color on the lids and then take a darker shade and brush it on the side of you lids. This will give your eyes an nice effect. You should get the 3 colored ones they with highlight, neutral and dark in almost the same shade to you dont have to figure what gies well with what.
3. Eyeliner, start from 3/4 to the right/left then go back to the begining of the eye to make a thin line and then run over the prior line so it will go from thin to thick towards the utmost right/left.
4. Don't forget mascara/fake lashes
5. Get a pink blush and put a little on your cheekboes as you smile into the mirror the apply a brinzer on your side cheeks and rub in down towards your jaw to make a thin face and give your cheek definition (unless you naturally have nice cheekbones). Also put some along the sides of your nose to make it appear thinner and sharper.
6. Lip line and apply your lipstick. Make sure you sue similar shades with a darker lip liner.
Remember when picking shades keep in mind your skin color and eyecolor.
I hope this helps you. Good luck and have fun sweetie :)

Less is better. Get a foundation that matches your skin. Put on as little as possible, but still have coverage. Get a brown eyeliner, then after youve put it on, run your finger under your eye a couple times, so its not so heavy. For your lips...get something that goes with your skin tone, either reds, pinks, browns, whatever it may be, and try some. Go with one that looks good, not always the color you like, but looks great on you! And dont use a dark lip pencil if youre using one. Looks terrible.
Remember, always use a moisturizer at bedtime.

well first u need a foundation that matches ur skin tone. if u use powder foundation then apply it with a foundation brush and if u use cream apply it with a sponge. then after the foundation is done use a concealer to cover dark circles and stuff. then apply a little loose powder to set it. after that apply eyeshadows on ur eyelids. u can use colors like pink, light purple or brown. after that use a pencil eyeliner on ur eyelids. after u master using a pencil eyeliner then u can switch to liquid. then u can use a mascara. use a nice blush for ur cheeks.
and at last finish off with a nice lip gloss like pink, peach or brown. and practice a lot with the make-up. u'll get good at it eventually.

Hiya!
See if there is a way to post locally for a drag mom. Either a crossdresser with experience or a woman who is open. There used to be a section in the local entertainment newspaper in the SF Bay Area.

My tip... contact a makeup counter and have them apply your makeup while showing you techniques (most high end counters don't charge much, but do expect you to purchase some of the products used.) Also many salons and spas offer this service as well if you would like to be more discreet.

when i was in high school my mom had me go to the makeup counter and get a make over (i'm of the firm belief she thought i was a lesbian). that is where i learned tricks. seeing it done is the best. if you don't want to get it done on yourself - go with a female friend. cosmo is great for tips. and practice. right after you see it done at the counter, go home and try it.

You need to find out what shades work with your skin tone. Then you should try different brands of make up to which one you like. Go to someplace like Dillard's to the make up counter and get them to help you.
