My dad got this letter along with check for 4,800 us dollars. Its from U.S. Lotto promtions, and it sayed to call a number and activate the check, so i did and it said to deposit the 48000 dollars into his account, is this too good to be true, is this a scam, has anyone else got a letter like this??

If you do deposit it, you will find that it will bounce and not be paid. They 'scammers' will then have details of your father's account and they will no doubt try to defraud it. I will bet that your father never bought a lottery ticket, so then how do you think he won anything. It is a scam and beware of giving them any personal details whatsoever................... If you doubt what I say, go with your father to his bank and ask the account manager to give you advice................
