monarchy, communizm, democrasy, oligarchy and why?

I would choose a democratized world society.
If I could envision a better world, I'd choose one which has no individual countries, only regions of interest.
We currently have the United States and the European Union, so I think that we are heading in the right direction. But, how do we get to that last step, where all peoples of the world are willing and able to cooperate and work for the common good of the world, not just their particular region?
It's possible.
