No, I don't think so. Age doesn't determine who you should be friends with. It's silly, I think that you are even asking this question. If ya'll are friends then ya'll are friends.

It would be weird for me (even though I'm female) to have a 16 year old friend because I would often find myself being more of a motherly figure to her because of her age. If you're able to be friends with someone without recognizing the age difference every two seconds (like say at a party and helping them chose what's right and wrong) then it may be ok. It all depends on how you view them as a person and how you view your role as their friend. They may look up to you and want to be just like you and I'm sure you wouldn't want them getting into anything bad like underage drinking and or drug play.

No, I had a friend that was like a big bro to me and was a very good influence on me. He taught me to drive, let me vent about my parents and the like. I didn't hang around his house b/c he lived far away, so I can't speak to that, but I'm sure it can be completely harmless. I'm not saying your situation is, but mine was.

nope. if the older person is a good influnce then i dont see what the problem is. when i was sixteen my best friend was 45 and he helped me through alot of stuff. he was like my brother and he helped me get through the roughest parts of my life.
