I'm still in Tokyo, but I know that a lot of people read the metropolis on-line to keep up with things in Tokyo.

You should come back! I live in Koriyama, but I sometimes go to Tokyo to visit my friends. I know I'll miss it when I leave.

I think you should study Japanese at a local university or at a private school. Or if you have Japanese friends, then ask them to help.

Watch movies. Eat Japanese food. Read The Japan Times. Read books about Japan. You can even read fictional books by Haruki Murakami and that will make you feel like you are back here in Japan.

Make new Japanese friends in your city or on the internet. If there aren't any Japanese where you live then try the Japan chat room on chat or on myspace or something.

Good luck dude.
