You might be trying at the wrong time of month.
You ovulate approx 2 weeks before your period. That is the only time that you can get pregnant. Once you ovulate your egg comes out to the fallopian tube and waits 24 hours to be fertilized. If not, then it absorbs into you and then you get your period later on. Sperm can wait up to 5 days in you so if you have sperm in you a couple days before you ovulate, still a possibility!
Use this info and you can get pregnant.
Also a positive mental attitude will help.

Best of luck!

If you have a prolapsed cervix, lady on top is a good position as the sperm can get to the tubes better (due to the angle) If you don't, lay with your legs up for about half an hour, tilting your hips and pelvis up too.

Using a thermometer to take your basal temperature every morning and plotting it on a chart is a good way to show if you are ovulating. Boots to a kit for £12.99 which is really good for this.

If the man has gone without sex a while then the sperm count is higher and they are stronger this gives a higher chance of falling pregnant.

I have also heard that it helps if the woman has an orgasm as well either just before the man does or even at the same time if you can manage it.

If overweight try and lose some.

Relax.

Morning sex

Healthy diet, stop smoking, get a goodnights sleep (this is meant to be good for weight loss too oddly enough). Get the man to ware loose underware so his testicles are the best temperature as it helps the motility of sperm.

Try using ovulation kits where you test using a stick in your urine, particularly if your cycles are irregular.

Hi there,

First thing is to try and relax, harder then it sounds i know. It may also depend how long you were taking the pill.

An egg lives for about 12-24 hours after it is released from the ovary and the sperm can live for several days inside the womans body. So making love a day before ovalation will give you the best chances of becoming pregnant.
Women usually ovalate between 12 & 14 days before their next period. So that means you are more likely to concieve if you have intercourse from the 17th day to the 12th day before your next period.

Hope something here helps, good luck.

You should buy an ovulation kit. I've been trying to get pregnant for 2 months and heard that an ovulation kit is the best way to predict and plan for pregnancy. I just bought my first one and I am going to try it this time and see what happens. Don't stress it's only going to make it take longer, I know that's easier said than done but try not to stress. Good luck.

You can't hurry anything like trying for a baby along. All you can do is relax and enjoy life rather than think about having a baby right now. It can be suggested that you check out your cycle, things like is it regular and how regular is it (i.e 28 days apart) then that should help with planning. But I definitely say leave it a few years when you are settled, even if you are settled, a baby is a lifelong commitment.

But just do what is right for you

Chill out. Just carry on with your life normally and avoid stress. I was lucky in that I could in a month but we were not really trying as such. We just carried on normally and had the attitude that it will happen when it happens. Check out some of the pregnancy websites though as they do have good advice and tips on conceiving and boosting your fertility. If you have not conceived in a year (thats the norm apparently) see your doctor.

Have you looked at your ovulation times? There are loads a great web sites that can tell you the best days to get pregnant.

I tried for 10 months to have my daughter! I used all the tips, but eventually the one that worked for me was to lie with my bum in the air after sex! Not the most attractive look, but I have a gorgeous daughter that makes it all worth while.

Just remember to relax and enjoy the sex while you want it! Everyone is different and it does take time.

Good luck.

Three and one half months is not a long time to try to conceive. However, to ease your mind you should go to the doc and ask about it and learn about when you are most fertile.
A side note--I think you are too young to be considering motherhood. Live with yourself at least 3 more years before making such a life-altering choice.

When you have been on the pill for that long sometimes it does take a little longer to conceive. You are not considered infertile until you have been trying to conceive for a year. Then if your still unsuccessful then go see you OBGYN & he/she will run some tests & possibly send you to a fertility specialist. Until then don't worry to much , stress isn't good when you are trying to conceive.
