I had originally the big PS2, then it finally died after years of use. I bought the small one to replace it. I love it. It takes up less room, and I think runs better and faster than the big PS2 did. If you are going to buy a PS2 I would suggest the small one. The following link shows the specs and the pros and cons of the Slimline Ps2 and the original.

Neither. Wait for the PS3 to come out. Better games, better pictures, better sound, better EVERYTHING! No laggy images or characters that disappear half way through the game beucase the system's not fast enough. I would definitely wait for the PS3. And don't buy it right away. Wait about a month to see if there were any returns, in case of system problems. When Sony fixes the problems and re-releases new and improved PS3s, then you get one! If you want to play PS 2 games, just rent a system for now.

resons
(the biger 1) may take up more space bu u can slide it under a bed or tv and it will not over heat u can leave it on for hours and hours
the lil one
u cant put it under any thing cuz the cd door opend up like the ps1 and that really sucks and it over heats in a hour or soo
ur best 1 to buy is the biger 1 cuz it is just better

Bigger, especially if you want to potentially copy games onto the system and remove the need for CD's. A friend of mine does it and has more than 200 games in his collection, and not one CD.

Get the smaller one.ignore all the fuzz.bcoz..
--it is small
--it looks cool.not big and bulky.
--its more durable.fat ones break/get overheated mostly.but i heard nobody complaining about the smalll one.
--it produces less heat.i played it for hours but no problem.
--it is small.did i say it allready?
so .you got it right.
Oh.on second thought you have a second much much better choice
GET A PS3

well it really makes no difference, but i would suggest the smaller one as it takes up less space and can fit into the glove box of your car if u wanna play it in there.
