currently an amusement park concession stand is selling bottles of water for $ 2.00.the operator would like to determine the effect of a price increase on their on their revenue.currently 3000 bottles are sold in a week.using mathematical symbols,the concession stand operator would like to know if (2+x)(3000-y),where x is the price increase and y is the number of bottles they will not sell as a result ,is greater than the current sales of 6000 dollars.Aif the operator would like to raise the price by 50 cents,how many customers can the stand afford to lose each week and still make more money than was made previously?
B.write an equation that tells you the volume of the lollipop in terms of L,the number of licks.

2.5*x>6000
x>6000*2/5
x>2400
so if he is prepared to lose up to 600 customers he will make more money by increasing the price by 50 cents

Cost - Price of bottle of water.
No.B - Number of bottles.
Sales - Amount of money taken in from selling the bottles of water.
α - Proportion to.
n - Number of licks.
v - Volume of lollipop.

Cost * No.B = Sales.
No.B = Sales / Cost.
No.B = $6000 / $2∙5
No.B = 2400 Bottles

Loss of Customers = Old customers - New customers.
Loss of Customers = 3000 - 2400
Loss of Customers = 600 That is, 600 customers to cut even.
→
Lost of Customers and make a profit = 600 - 1
Lost of Customers and make a profit = 599

The greater the volume the more licks there will be. How many licks depends on how much each volume of the lollipops contain and by how much volume of the lollipop is removed by each lick.
L is indirectly proportional to number (n) of licks.
→ L 1/α n
L is proportional to the volume of the lollipop.
→ L α v
→ L α v/n
→ L = k v/n Where k is the proportionally constant of v/n.

If you are dealing with a radius, then I assume the lollipops are round in shape.
To reduce the radius of the lollipops, it must be licked from the side.
L 1/α R
L = k`R Where k` is the proportionality factor.

6000/2.5=2400. They can (technicaly) lose 599 sales of water. but you should really do your own math homework.
