I recently got an MBA with a concentration in Finance. I had a degree in microbiology and did not find Finance all that hard. If you have a math degree it should be easy for you. With Finance, there are a lot of options: banking, consulting (what I do). It is pretty broad. All companies need people in Finance. If you are going to go that route, throw in a few accounting courses, also.

HR = yuk.
If you have a math degree, you are too smart for that.

HR is common, but the specializations within HR could provide alot of exposure to things like: Organization Development, Benefits, Leadership, Compensation, etc.

No question Finance would be a valuable asset in your tool belt. If you are targeting finance-related jobs upon graduation, this is a good way to go. Would it be difficult, sure. If not, everybody would be doing it! :)

I stayed away from finance as I have a form of dyslexia and I can invert numbers at times. My MBA is in marketing and I loved it. You can be so creative and if you are good at what you do, there are so many windows of opportunity to work independently as a consultant.
