Does anyone know if it's ok to still have sex if you've got cystitis and taking antibiotics for it....?

Sorry to break the bad news but it's not Ok to have sex while you have cystisits. it will make it that much harder to go away and will get more painful. When i had it, my doctor told me to refrain from sex, i didn't listen and I wished I would have, because it got worse.

Yes thats fine, but be aware that some antibiotics can affect the pill ( I know as I got pregnant on the pill whist taking antibiotics).

it is perfectly fine to have sex just make sure u use a condom try drinking cranberry juice and lots of water it flushes out the system and prevents u getting cystitis

I wouldnt advise it personally-cystitis is an infection and could be passed onto your partner- im sure they wouldnt forgive you for passing on an infection.

i would say this is fine but aslong as you are ok with it. you cant catch cystitis but it cause a lot of pain and discompfort so go for it if you are feelin up to it :)

get it cured first, the two areas (urethral meatus and vagina) are too close to each other, the infection may be transmitted from one to the other during sex and this retards healing. I wouldnt take the risk..

It might be better to wait until this problem has been completely resolved with the antibiotics first.
Let's put it this way - if your partner had this problem...would it be okay with you?

You shouldn't until it's totally cleared up. That's why you keep taking antibiotics, so it kills the infection for real.

same as xoxofire - I wouldnt advise it either and learned the hard way myself. Just wait it out and let it clear am sure sex can wait until you are healthy again.

Sex is always ok as long as both parties know about what's going on. Even if you have AIDS.
