Sounds like thrush which is very common in breast fed babies. It's basically a yeast infection. You need to take him in to the Dr. for a very simple treatment. It may be as simple as an oral medication to having to "paint" his mouth with Gentian Violet. It is not serious but can become serious if not treated. Good Luck! My son had thrush very frequently. He would also get it when he was taking antibiotics. I had my Dr. prescribe him Diflucan along with his antibiotics so that we could prevent it.

Could be oral thrush. My daughter had the beginnings of these little bumps from breastfeeding. I only found out what it was because my breasts were itching a little and my nipples were more red than usual a day or two before my doctor's check up. The doctor actually discovered I had nipple yeast, which meant the milk was giving my daughter the oral yeast or oral thrush. There's all kinds of herbal remedy you can do, or the doctor will give you a liquid to put in the baby's mouth if you feel safer with that. You will also have to be put on medication to clear yourself up. There's other stuff they should tell you about washing bras, towels, etc in hot water and ironing them to kill the infection. It's relatively harmless, just annoying and some times a pain to get rid of.

Sounds like thrush. It is the same thing as vaginal yeast infection. You can also get it in/on your breasts. A ductle yeast infection is PAINFUL. I had one I got from my nursing daughter's thrush. If it is thrush you both need to be treated for yeast or you will give it back and forth to each other. My ductle yeast infection didn't show up until almost a week after she was diagnosed with thrush. That was a Saturday and it was a really painful weekend until the Dr. opened on Monday.

Usually a breast-feeding baby will have a white "callous" on the inside of it's top lip, this is formed from sucking at the breast. It is normal. If he has plenty of wet and poop diapers everyday, he is probably getting enough milk. Another way to judge is, if he is gaining weight. Your doctor is your best resource person.

Sounds like thrush, you are passing a yeast infection back and forth if you are both not treated. It's very common and not dangerous, just annoying. Your doctor can prescribe some oral liquid meds for the baby (given after he nurses) and you can put some yeast infection cream on your nipples to help clear it on your end (Canesten works great for me). The baby can still nurse with the cream on, and will even help him.

My daughter got thrush when she was 6 weeks old and at first it was just the little bumps. But after about a week, she wouldn't eat. IThe trush was all in her throat. The doc gave me some med for it. But it took it about 6 weeks to clear. I would get it checked before it gets to bad.

I'd give a call to the doc, but LOTS of babies get little pimples at a few weeks old. Thier skin is still learning to adjust to the world. Every book I've read says it's normal, but you may want to check that the location of the pimples is normal, too.

Have a doc look at it. It sounds like Thrush. Try eating a LOT of yogurt in the mean time. Good luck.

It is probably thrush (a yeast infection). It is very common in young babies (my daughter had it) and geriatric patients but it could also just be milk bumps. You should probably have your baby checked out by a pediatrician. They may prescribe an oral medication.
