Crows are actually very smart and I think they are among the smartest of the birds. I read that somewhere in New York crows are so smart, that to crack open their nuts (keep dirty coments to yourself), they drop it on the road where cars run over them. But it doesn't stop there, they drop them on the CROSSWALK! So when they see the little white guy flash up, the swoop down and pick up their nicely crushed nut. Cool, eh?
And yes, I think they are considered to be a land mammal because they do not live underwater.

he/she's looking for a land animal, read the question mexican guy.

if it was in national geographic about senve years ago, i suggest you do to your school library and check the national geographics from seven years ago for articles on language in land animals. you can't really expect us here to do your homework for you

a) you need to learn it, not us
b) that's actually quite a bit of reasearch you're asking for there, unless someone knows it totally off-hand

off to the library with you! ;-)

I went to the National Geographic magazine site and searched for "animal language" and came up with this article:
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2003/02/0221_030221_elephantvocal1.html

Maybe that'll help you out.

i heard crows have many ways of communicating but then again I dont think its considered a land animal since it can fly.

I have a feeling it may be a monkey but wht kind, not very sure

Go to the zoo, get some fresh air and you'll be able to think better!

Elephants, they can paint, they can do tricks like sitting and dancing (I've seen them do stuff in the zoo), and they know what type of foods they like. I dunno, thats my guess
