I have a friend who has just started working in our local pub. I thibnk if he can learn to play don, he'll be able to join in with us on a Sunday night after he has finished his shift behind the bar. I can't find any instructions in any card game books, and only one website with any rules (www.pagat.com).
Can anyone help my friend?

well, if you know the rules then you can teach him. let him sit and watch. then play a few hands to get to grips with the rules that you taught him. take it slow and he will learn.

Never heard of this one, does it have another name, or can you note a few of the methods of play to see is I recognise another name for it?
