Yes there are. You need to see an OBGYN though. Treatments might be a certain type of painkiller or you may have more serious issues that can be fixed surgically.

I dont know why its lasting that long, but Ive heard others on here complain about the same thing. For the pain, I would try putting sports cream on your lower stomach and every where you hurt. Thats what I did when I had my period, before hysterectomy. It helped and Id ask your doc next time you see them, that you need something for your pain at that time of month. If you dont abuse them, theyll keep giving them to you, but just a few pills a month.
Good luck with this and I hope you get to feeling better, I know, it sux.

firstly you should see your doctor to rule out more serious causes but if it is simply painful menstrual cycles (dysmennorhea) there are several treatment options
two ibuprofen every 4 hrs. starting the first day of menstruation and continuing until it ceases
daily calcium supplements (takes several months to see effect)
oral contraceptives can demenish pain and cycle irregularity
some diurectics have minimal effectiveness

Fish oil supplements, calcium-magnesium-zinc pills 3-4 times a day, good women's multiple vitamin-mineral, vitamin c 500 mg, vitamin e 400-800 iu, Black cohosh herb. Go vegetarian during your period days. See Prescription For Natural Cures for details and discussion and more advice.
Good luck!

cdlbhd321; isn't the ibuprofen dose u have suggested a little too high? (Maximum daily dose should be 2400mg) And what might the additional effect of calcium intake be? What is the mechanism that u claim for the painkilling effect of calcium..?? never heard before..
