I am 36 weeks and a couple days pregnant. I found out I have gestational diabetes. I have been having so much pain and feeling like crap, and my stomache feels like its going to pop! I am a smaller framed person and my husband is a stockier built person. Do you think there is any way for them to induce me or schedule a c-section soon? Or will they most lilely make me wait untill I go into natural labor. I want to tell my dr. today when I go about all the pain I am having in my back and everything and hope she will see about getting him out of me soon, but I am not sure if she will. I have been in the hospital about four times with false contractions, and have alot of symptoms that labor is near. Could she induce or schedule c-section soon?

My obstetrician is inducing at 38 weeks. Talk to your doctor. Some doctors will induce early because when you're diabetic or have gestational diabetes, the babies tend to be bigger. My first pregnancy I was induced at 40 weeks because that doctor didn't believe in inducing early and she was 10lbs 9oz.

Every one feels like this the last few weeks of their pregnancy, don't think you are the first one who has tried to convince your doctor to induce you early. The only way that they will induce you is if there is a medical reason. Its only a few more weeks, you can make it!!!! I have two kids and I'm pregnant with my third. With my last baby I was dilated 3-4 cm for about 2 weeks before the doctor finally induced me!!!!
Good Luck with everything!!

It is very important for a fetus (baby) to stay in the mom's uterus as long as possible (up to 40 weeks) in order for the baby's lungs to mature fully. Otherwise, the baby could have trouble breathing on it's own when it is born. If you are having complications, such as gestational diabetes, your doctor should be monitoring you very closely, and will know if it is necessary to induce your labor, or perform a c-section. Tell your doctor about your discomforts, and he/she will know how to judge if your problems are serious or not.

My pregnancy was the same way and on top of everything else my husband was going to Iraq in 2 weeks and I was 36 weeks and I asked my doctor to please induce me so that my husband could be there for the birth but he said I had to wait till 40 weeks because of the risks in premature babies and their lungs I didn't want to risk it so i chose to wait and it went by quickly my mom ended up comming with me and my husband got to see pics over email.

Well I would stick it out til at least 38 weeks, then take a trip to the e.r and look in the drawl up in labor and deliver and get the plastic device that Dr's use to break you water .Go home and use it!!!
That's what I did with my last pregnancy. It work in seconds but wait til at least 38 weeks the baby is still growing.

you tend to get too anxious towards the end, all women go through that, I also had gestational diabetis, baby gets big fast because of taking all your insuline, and feels heavy when you're small, back hurts alot! I wouldn't suggest C-section unless nesessary, you don't recup as fast after.
