You have a no display... While turning the power on

better yet observe and listen if you hear some beeping sounds when you turn on the computer... A motherboard makes diffrent beeping sounds when it can't detect a computer part...There lot's of hardware to be considered as busted...

These were problems I was suffering when my CPU was damaged.

-Slowdown. The processing time on each application was absurd. My PS2 emulator was running 36 fps with a 2.26ghz CPU when my damaged CPU(3.2ghz CPU) was pushing 16 fps; the 3.2ghz CPU fps shot up to 44 after Intel replaced the chip.

-Corruption. The memory was holding corrupted bits (tested via memory test).

-Crashes. I kept getting memory crashes, and a lot of other weird crashes with the broken CPU.

I'll recommend downloading a memorytest program to see if the bits are processing correctly. It's not absolute, but it does work, to an extent.

well if the CPU is damaged the machine is useless and will not work its as plain as that. the only way to test the cpu is to have either in a different machine or try a different cpu in your machine.
most common fault of cpu damage is the headsink/fan failure causing the cpu to overheat.
but most machines will turn the machine off when the temp gets to high to save the cpu getting damaged.
