go to start > run> then type "msconfig", then click on the "startup" tab, and uncheck MSN messenger.

Click start, run and type in "msconfig" without the quotes. Click on the startup tab and uncheck anything that has msn in it. Click ok.

Go to the program settings, run the program and then it should bring up the settings in the options tab. Once there it should show you many options, look for a box that says begin at windows startup and deselect the box.

right click on the msn messenger icon in bottom right . go to properties or preferences. uncheck open / start when windows starts or when connect to internet. also take it out of your start menu

if you wanna shut if off youll have to let it start up one last time if you goto the options section or amybe even if you log your self out there should be a check box that asks you if you want it to start as soon as windows starts and or if you want to automatically log in and remember your password all are your choice
