If you're looking for a performance kick, get an SR20DET imported from Japan. Any one from a front wheel drive car ought to work. Otherwise you might want to go with the SR20DE found in the Sentra SE-R, 2000SX SE-R, and Infiniti G20.

There are plenty of things you can do for it but the problem is that its still a bad starting point. 1.8 and auto-slushbox is not the greatest platform to work with. Save your money and buy something a little more suited for performance than a sentra. In racing you get what you pay for. Buy crap = crap performance!
