I don't understand this category. The phrase "trying to conceive" implies that somebody would be getting pregnant on purpose! Seriously though, since this is obviously not the case, what does it mean? The only thing I can think of is that it's some kind of euphemism for sex, like "Me and this chick were 'trying to conceive' last night if you know what I mean." That would make sense, because they don't really have a plain old "sex" category, but they should just call it "making whoopie" or something.

What do you think?

making whoopie sounds much nicer, like a newly wed game sort of nicer.

10 "tumbs" down? not too shabby!

Trying to Conceive means trying to become pregnant. There are many females out there that have a hard time conceiving a child and they have questions. The purpose of this category is to answer questions for men or women in order to benefit their approach to having a baby. Yes women want to get pregnant on purpose because they want to start a family. Not all pregnancies are accidents, some are actually planned. This category is not about just having sex. It's about thing to try for women who are trying to conceive.

Trying to conceive in the Parenting & Pregnancy category does mean "getting pregnant on purpose", the " trying " part can also mean that there a difficulties in getting pregnant for some. And well yea, sex is involved, but are wanting to make a baby make this different. Why don't you try the realtionships category?

LOL...

Can you believe it? In today's overpopulated world, there are lots of people who are trying to have a baby. Never mind that there are literally thousands of homeless children out there that would give their left arm for a mother and father. I guess nothing compares to the "joy" of popping one out yourself.

Personally, I just don't see the point. I like my freedom, my career, my boyfriend, and my dogs (none of which I would be able to keep if I decided to have children).

To each his own...

Edit: On a side note, I assumed that you were intelligent enough to know that the "trying to conceive" category was for people attempting to have a baby, and I thought that you didn't like children and was attempting to be witty. If not, then, well, good luck with that...I'm sure there's a short bus somewhere for you...

No, it's a forum for people who are attempting to conceive. Asking and answering questions that deal with when is the best time of month and for people that may be having a difficult time with it.

It's not a joke.

ok . Are you really that ignorant? Some people that are married and are ready to settle down into a NORMAL life have kids on purpose. I guess when you GROW UP you will understand more about morals and values

Why wouldn't some people want to get pregnant? Read some of the questions before you assume that the category is "obviously" not what it says. Just because your parents apparently didn't want you, don't assume that other mature adults don't want to have children.

I thought it was to help those less fortunate couples who didn't know how to "conceive", like maybe delivering a load at the wrong address or something. O.k. I got nothin'
