Simply put? Happiness is contentment. We can all learn to be content, although it comes more naturally to some. Contentment doesn't mean not wanting anything more/ better than what you have. Actually content people are very driven. It does mean that WHILE you're trying to achieve goals and building a life, that you're content within each stage and looking forward to having and acheiving more rather than feeling inadequate about the present possessions and acievements. Contentment is being grateful and conscious of all you have and happiness is it's magnificent side effect.

It's a vague question, but happiness is different for everyone. Truely being happy doesn't come from what you have, it comes from inside you. Look on the bright side of things, shrug off bad things, make your own choices, keep your integrity, and be patient and polite.
People seem to think that being polite only helps others be happy, but this is not true. If we are patient and polite we are less likely to offend, if you offend someone you create hostility, and hostility makes people angry on both sides of the problem.

Happiness is not a static condition. No one can sanely be happy all the time, but if you apply yourself, you can be happy much of the time.
Omitting sickness or physical pain, you can be happy by realizing that suffering is a world condition, and no one can escape this fact. You can live joyously in the midst of sorrow by realizing this is a permanent condition, and it is your attitude that makes the difference.
Desire for Gain, and Fear of Loss is the source of all unhappiness. Life Has No Meaning.Only YOU make your Life's Meaning, It is not found. Accept all of this, apply it, and you will be happier.

Happiness doesn't consist of the abundance of things that we possess. Real happiness and joy comes from a good relationship with God and the people that you come in contact with each day. If you are not experiencing true happiness at this age, then you really need to try God.
